A Very Special Thank You!
We'd like to thank the congregation of Trinity United Methodist Church, based in Kendalville, IN. A group of women created and donated a variety of hand made shorts and dresses for our teams to take on our upcoming trips to the orphanages IAM works with in Haiti. We so appreciate their partnership with us and passion for doing God's work.
Learn What One Hospital Could Do!
International Allied Missions (IAM) has taken dozens of medical trips to serve thousands of Haitian - but with a permanent hospital, tens of thousands of Haitians could receive medical care that is both trustworthy and affordable. Our goal is to build a medical facility that enables year round medical and surgical care, dental practice, vision testing, and pharmaceutical resources. We envision not just yearly trips, but a constant cycle of medical staff treating those in need.
In Haiti, 60% of the population lacks even the most basic of health care services. There are very few government sponsored medical facilities and a ratio of 1 doctor to every 10,000 Haitians. By building a permanent hospital in Haiti, we will be able to train native Haitians to sustain the type of medical treatment that is so desperately needed.
We're thrilled to announce that following a recent fundraiser for the organization, IAM Haiti was able to raise $17,000 in a single evening! The money will go towards purchasing the nearly 20 acres of land we hope to build a permanent hospital on. Our team is currently in negotiations with the Haitian government to purchase the land and officially begin construction. Please pray that this process moves quickly and we're able to secure the land soon!
COME ON OUR NEXT TRIP
Not a doctor or nurse, but still looking for a way to serve? IAM is always in need of non-medical volunteers for our trips.
Traveling to Haiti is challenging and requires flexibility, compassion and creativity. A trip with IAM could be your opportunity to use your skills and abilities to impact lives, and could be one of the most rewarding things you could ever do.
